Wow is it Thursday already?? The days seem to be clipping by at light speed. Here’s a fun tidbit to get you through until Friday. The fashion short film above was shot for CFW last week by Jade and Sully Sullivan (not married - just same last name!), Adam Boozer, Mike Grady, Kate Stewart and Kenneth Hyatt a.k.a the dream team behind most Troubie shoots. And guess what? She’s wearing T R O U B A D O U R. Enjoy!

Last week was a blast! I was honored to be a judge for the emerging designer contest held at 2012 Charleston Fashion Week. I was really impressed with all of the emerging designers, and if you are reading this a big thank you for your time, effort and talent last week! Congrats to the 5: Adrienne, Vartika, Angela, Tsvetlina, and Hannah. And a BIG congrats to Hannah Goff! There’s a feature above on Elle.com about her and the show, and a mention of yours truly :)  

Also, I had fun hobnobbing with Cameron Silver of Decades, the beautiful Cynthia Bailey of Real Housewives ATL, K Cooper Ray (Social Primer), Ayoka Lucas (creative director) and Mychael Knight. I also got to chat with Chris Benz, Fern Mallis, and Anne Slowey. U.S.S. Funtimes you guys.. hope to see you next year!

Charleston Fashion Week This week, I have the special honor of being a judge for the emerging designer competition 2012 at CFW. Having gone through this competition before myself (3 years ago) it brings back all of those crazy feelings - tensions are high, nervous energy, seems like SO much is at stake… “Is that seam puckering? Did I stitch that correctly? maybe I should make a jacket tonight” type feelings.   I’m here to tell you to breathe. You’re putting your best expression forward and no matter what happens for you after this competition, life does go on. Whether you win or lose, these moments do not define who you are as a designer. It may be a step in the process, or some piece of this puzzle is a challenge that you have to overcome, or maybe it is even one of life’s ways of testing you… just remember to have fun :))  Best of luck and hope and dreams to all of you. I look forward to seeing your collections.  Also….. A big thank you to everyone who came out to Pearl and Coral last week! It was wonderful to see all of you, and thanks for adding Troubadour to your summer wardrobe if you hadn’t already. Thank you also to Marysia and Jane - it was fun to hang ladies and lets do it again :)) Safe and happy travels on the rest of your Southern Tour!  xxx lindsey
